On Duty:
Representing Cape Town.
When duty calls, Cape Town’s tour guides are always ready! Last-minute requests are no challenge for our dedicated team, and this was proven when we stepped up to guide the G20 delegates on a city sightseeing tour.
With no hesitation, we prepared swiftly, navigated through traffic, and arrived just in time to showcase the beauty of our city. Our convoy included three buses, 100 guests, and a full police es**rt, all set for an unforgettable experience.
Since the route was finalized on the go, our guides adapted seamlessly, providing live commentary as the itinerary shifted due to weather, traffic, and security protocols.
A Journey Through Cape Town
We began along the scenic R310 coastal route to Muizenberg, where guests breathed in the fresh ocean air while admiring the stunning Peninsula views. Despite some locations being inaccessible due to time constrains, we ensured they still received rich insights of the peninsula’s beauty.
Next, we traveled through Constantia, where wine and more wine related questions flowed just as much as their enthusiasm. Arriving in Hout Bay, we shared the town’s fascinating history before continuing past Llandudno and Camps Bay toward Signal Hill. Along the way, guests compared the unique character of each neighborhood, gaining a deeper appreciation for the city’s diversity.
At Signal Hill, we allowed them time to explore freely, soaking in breathtaking views of Table Mountain draped in its signature “tablecloth”, the Atlantic Seaboard, and the DHL Stadium and the vibrant V&A Waterfront.
After a thrilling three-hour tour, the delegates were captivated by our guides’ professionalism, in love with Cape Town’s beauty, and most importantly, already planing to come back.
