• Cape Town to Gaborone with XCAP Overland •

In late July, Fabien joined XCAP Overland on a five-day, 1,500+ kilometre journey from Cape Town to Gaborone, helping deliver two specially converted Land Rovers to Botswana.

The route took him through Vanrhynsdorp, Brandvlei, Olifantshoek and Stella, combining long stretches of tar with gravel roads and five nights of camping through the Northern Cape.

XCAP Overland specialises in overland adventures across Southern Africa, combining remote travel and self-drive exploration with comfortable, purpose-built camping vehicles.

The journey gave Fabien the opportunity to experience the vehicles and overland concept first-hand, before the Land Rovers continued into Botswana for their next adventure.

The green and gold is out at Go Tourism

Tonight, Bafana Bafana make their return to the World Cup stage for the first time since 2010, and what a way to do it. The opening match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, against Mexico at the Estadio Azteca. Sixteen years on from Tshabalala’s thunderbolt at Soccer City, history comes full circle.

We are incredibly proud to be South African today. Our whole team is behind Bafana Bafana every step of the way.

Africa’s Travel Indaba 2026 did not disappoint and Go Tourism was proud to be right in the middle of it all.

Durban came alive with the energy of a continent on the move. Industry leaders, travel lovers, and media from across the globe gathered to celebrate, connect, and do what we do best showcase the magic of African travel.

Our stand was buzzing from day one. New faces, familiar friends, and conversations that remind us exactly why we love what we do. 🙌

With 10.5 million international visitors to South Africa in 2025, the momentum is real and we’re just getting started.

We kicked off 2026 the right way. 🥁🎷✨

Team dinner at and what a night it was.

We came together to welcome our incredible new team members and get fired up for the season ahead. The venue? Stunning. Every detail, absolutely on point.

We started with a live drumming session that had us all buzzing before we even sat down. Then came the food bold, beautiful, and worth every bite. And a live jazz band kept the energy going all evening long.

It’s the kind of night that reminds you how lucky you are to work with the people you do. 🙌

• An Icon Reimagined •

We recently had the pleasure of visiting the brand new InterContinental Table Bay Cape Town by IHG for a site inspection.

Samantha, Carmen, Peggy and Remi were invited for the tour, and we were absolutely blown away. From the elegant décor and beautiful light-filled spaces to the stunning rooms and unique restaurants, the transformation is truly impressive. The new and enlarged pool deck is also a fantastic addition and will be a real highlight for guests.

The hotel’s culinary offering is equally exciting, with Flint & Fennel, Le Bistrot de JAN, and The Botanist’s Table creating a diverse and elevated dining experience.

A big thank you to Jo-Anne for the wonderful tour and warm hospitality. We can’t wait to send our clients to experience this incredible property. ✨

🌊 Site Inspection & Seafood with a View! 🍽️

Our Groups Department had the pleasure of visiting Dixies Restaurant & Bar in Glencairn, Cape Town for a site inspection and lunch and what a fantastic experience it was!

Set in a stunning location with breathtaking views of the ocean, Dixies offers a warm, relaxed atmosphere that’s perfect for groups looking to enjoy a laid-back meal with a scenic backdrop. The seafood was absolutely delicious, and the staff made us feel so welcome with their friendly and attentive service.

A big thank you to the team at Dixies for hosting us we’ll definitely be back!

🐾 Teamwork in the Wild 🌿

This past weekend, our team swapped the office for the open plains of Aquila Private Game Reserve, where we enjoyed an unforgettable safari-style team-building adventure.

From navigating the reserve in 4x4s to completing interactive challenges, answering quizzes, and working together with the help of the expert rangers every task brought us closer together, all while surrounded by the beauty of South Africa’s wildlife.

Not only did we get to experience the thrill of a Big 5 safari, but we also strengthened communication, collaboration, and creative thinking as a team and had plenty of laughs along the way!

A huge thank you to Aquila Private Game Reserve for hosting us and putting together such a unique, engaging, and memorable experience. Your passionate rangers and beautifully run reserve made it a day to remember.
