Independent Schools Cultural Alliance

These programmes are designed specifically for 12 to 15-year-old students.

Every year, the Independent Schools Cultural Alliance, ISCA, welcomes select school groups from all over the globe to the United Kingdom for one of our three programmes. At ISCA we offer four different programmes: our flagship ISCA Global three-week summer programme for international students; our brand-new one-week summer camp for students based in the UK; our Hogmanay trip to Scotland for students who have already joined us for the ISCA Global and ISCA UK Summer Camps; and customised programmes, tailored specifically to individual groups. ISCA provides students with a fabulous opportunity to travel with friends and enjoy some of the coolest and most iconic venues in London and the south of England. We also visit places of immeasurable historic importance in a well-structured and enjoyable way. Students experience the most iconic, historic and modern sites that England has to offer, including;

Iconic: Tower of London, Oxford, Buckingham Palace, Houses of Parliament…
Historic: Hampton Court, HMS Victory, Globe Theatre, Stonehenge, Windsor Castle…
Modern: London Eye, West End Musical, Oxford Street, Science Museum…

Our ISCA Summer Camps are based at either Charterhouse School or Cranleigh School, two of the most historic boarding schools in England. Students can get involved in a huge variety of activities and sports on our campus, which provides an ideal opportunity for students to make new friends. At the end of the day there are dynamic multimedia presentations which prepare them for the next day’s trip. An enthusiastic and dynamic ISCA faculty allow the students to have the best possible experience for the time they are with us. ISCA faculty are all involved in the teaching profession and all bring different areas of expertise to the programme, enabling us to provide a varied programme of fun activities for the students and ensuring that they have the best summer ever!

At ISCA, sport is about more than the game itself. It’s an opportunity to try something new, share experiences and build friendships with students from around the world.

From traditional British sports such as cricket and Eton fives to football, tennis, netball, basketball and beyond, our on-campus programme offers opportunities for every level of experience.

Whether you’re discovering a sport for the first time, developing a familiar skill or simply enjoying being part of a team, there’s something for everyone.

Because some of the best moments at ISCA happen when we come together, have a go and enjoy the experience.

From the ancient mysteries of Stonehenge and the remarkable legacy of Roman Britain to the royal history of Windsor, the naval heritage of HMS Victory and the academic traditions of Oxford, every destination has a story to tell.

At ISCA Global, students journey through centuries of British history, culture and heritage, exploring over 36 sites of historic and cultural interest across southern England.

Beyond the classroom, these experiences offer new perspectives, inspire curiosity and bring a deeper understanding of Britain and its place in the world.

Episode 5 | What did you learn at ISCA?

For one of our students, ISCA taught him something that will stay with him long after the programme: how to meet new people.

Before ISCA, he was afraid to.

Three weeks surrounded by people from different countries, cultures and backgrounds gave him the confidence to step outside his comfort zone, start conversations and build new friendships.

And perhaps that’s one of the greatest things you can take home from ISCA.
