The engine is off, everyone is watching, and all you can hear is the bush around you. In those moments, guides are often reading tracks, listening for calls, and piecing together the story unfolding ahead.

After nearly two weeks travelling through Namibia, the journey continues with incredible wildlife sightings, wide open landscapes, and the kind of unexpected moments that make overland safaris so rewarding. From elephant encounters in the wild to quiet birding moments and unforgettable game viewing, Nathan has been capturing a few behind-the-scenes snapshots of life on safari as the group makes their way across Southern Africa.

Somewhere between dusty roads, sunrise departures, and shared sightings in the bush, strangers slowly become travel companions. We cannot wait to see what the next stretch of the adventure brings.

Before every safari begins, there’s a team behind the scenes getting everything ready for the road.

Following this month’s departures, the workshop has been in full motion. Vehicles were checked, serviced, and carefully prepared to handle the journeys ahead. From the smallest detail to the bigger picture, our maintenance team ensures everything is in place before the first kilometre is travelled.
